Look Sports Media – The 2025 League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) Summer Split is upon us, and the stakes are higher than ever. Ten teams will clash for a coveted spot at the League of Legends World Championship, culminating in a thrilling LAN event in Madrid at the end of September. This year brings a dramatic twist: Natus Vincere (NAVI), having acquired Rogue’s spot, enters the fray with a unique opportunity to qualify for Worlds despite not competing in the regular season, thanks to the removal of Championship Points. Expect a fiercely competitive season.
The LEC Summer Split 2025 will utilize a revamped format. The ten teams are divided into two groups of five. Each team plays a single best-of-three series against each opponent within their group. The top two teams from each group automatically advance to the Playoffs. The bottom teams are eliminated. A thrilling best-of-five series will determine which of the remaining third and fourth-place teams will survive to fight another day. The winners join the top four in the Playoffs.

The Playoffs will be a best-of-five, double-elimination gauntlet for the top four teams, while the remaining two teams start in the lower bracket, facing a single-elimination format. This year, the Summer Finals in Madrid will decide the LEC champion and the three representatives for Worlds, eliminating the need for a separate Season Finals event.
