Look Sports Media – UK esports organisation Absolved has dramatically announced its return to competitive gaming, marking its comeback with a bold entry into the 4 Nations 2025 Summer Promotion. This resurgence comes under the leadership of new owners Jimmy "SinCyn" Knox and Brandon Pickard, who are steering Absolved towards a community-focused vision.
Absolved, initially founded in 2019 by TJ "Nudo" Harwood and manager Robin "Robinho" Cheng, previously competed in the NLC and Telia Esports Series before being acquired by X7 Esports in 2021. After ceasing operations in late 2022, the organisation has secured a fresh start by acquiring DMG Esports UK’s team slot in the upcoming 4 Nations tournament. They’ll also inherit DMG’s existing roster, although roster changes are expected before the Summer Promotion kicks off.

The organisation’s ambitions extend far beyond League of Legends. Absolved plans to expand its competitive presence into titles like Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, and Rocket League, showcasing a clear commitment to building a multi-game powerhouse.

But Absolved’s strategy isn’t solely focused on competitive play. A key element of their revival is a strong emphasis on community engagement. They plan to host regular community nights on their Discord server, aiming to foster a supportive and inclusive environment. Experienced community event organizers have been brought on board to help cultivate this aspect of the organisation. This focus on community building is particularly significant given the recent decline in UK-based esports events, a void Absolved is eager to fill.
Furthermore, Absolved is investing heavily in content creation, partnering with up-and-coming UK content creators to boost their channels and build brand awareness. Max "mind_of_max" Anderson, a content creator with a history with the organisation, will be joining from the outset.
"I’m really excited to be taking over Absolved, the org where I started my career in esports," said Jimmy "SinCyn" Knox, co-owner of Absolved. "Our aim is to bring esports to the community through events, tournaments, and content. Competitively, we’re aiming to gradually work our way to the top, starting with League of Legends and expanding into other games. We have a great team, and we’re incredibly excited for the future." Knox also expressed gratitude to DMG Esports for providing the opportunity to re-enter the competitive scene. With this ambitious plan and a renewed focus on community, Absolved’s return to the UK esports landscape promises to be one to watch.
