Innaxe’s Shocking Break: NLC Shuffle Sends Shockwaves Through League of Legends

Look Sports Media – Former Nord Esports bot laner, Nihat "Innaxe" Aliev, has announced a hiatus from competitive League of Legends, sending ripples through the NLC. This unexpected decision follows a significant roster shakeup at Nord Esports as they prepare for the Summer season. The news, initially revealed on Innaxe’s social media, confirms the player’s absence from the upcoming split.

The Bulgarian-British player cited a lack of suitable offers for the Summer Split as the primary reason for his break, acknowledging the current competitive landscape of European Regional Leagues (ERLs). Instead of pursuing immediate competitive opportunities, Innaxe will focus on one-on-one coaching, offering his expertise at a discounted rate. He’s also expected to maintain a prominent streaming presence during this period.

Nord Esports’ roster overhaul is substantial. Along with Innaxe, Frederik "NoWay" Hinteregger and Alf-Kristian "Nash" Sund have departed. Their replacements are Artur "Zwyroo" Trojan, Gian "Hid0" Caruana (who recently overcame cancer), and Erik "Treatz" Wessén. Adding further strategic depth, two-time EU LCS (now LEC) winner Fabian "Febiven" Diepstraten joins as assistant coach, bolstering the team’s already impressive coaching staff, which includes Jonathan "just jon" Ellis and performance coach Nikolaj "ScottyMcScoot" Prescott.

COLLABMEDIANET

Despite their consistent top-three finishes in the NLC over the past few years, Nord Esports’ recent losses to Los Ratones spurred these changes. While their strong track record positions them as favorites on many LoL betting sites, the roster reshuffle introduces uncertainty heading into the NLC Summer Seeding. The upcoming season promises intense competition, with Los Ratones entering as clear favorites after their Spring victories and teams like Ruddy Sack and Verdant aiming to build on their Spring Playoffs success. The NLC Summer Seeding begins later this month, culminating in the Grand Finals in Stockholm, Sweden. Innaxe’s return is tentatively slated for the 2026 season.
