Despite a dominant year that included an MSI 2025 victory, Gen.G announced the departure of star jungler Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu. While their ultimate goal of winning Worlds remained elusive, this move suggests Gen.G is poised to make another high-profile signing to strengthen their roster. The organization also bid farewell to its coaching staff, including Head Coach Jungsu "KIM" Kim, Coach Youngjae "Helper" Kwon, and Coach Dabin "Lyn" Kim, following their Worlds exit. Ryu "Ryu" Sangwook Yoo has been announced as KIM’s replacement, joining from BNK FEARX.
