Nemesis’ Shocking Retreat: What’s Left of Their CS Empire?

Look Sports Media – Team Nemesis has executed a significant, albeit understated, strategic shift within its Counter-Strike division, quietly disbanding its high-potential female roster, Nemesis Impact. This move contributes to a growing list of organizations ceasing their backing for women’s competitive Counter-Strike, largely influenced by the recent conclusion of the ESL Impact circuit. It also marks the second major roster departure for the British organization during the current offseason, signaling a profound restructuring of its esports presence.

The dissolution of Nemesis Impact was not accompanied by any official announcement from the organization, despite several players from the lineup signaling their free agency through "Looking For Team" (LFT) posts on social media throughout December 2025. The roster’s status was independently confirmed by Jeff "Mnmzzz" Moore, Editor in Chief at Dust2.us, who stated that the players entered free agency on December 1, following the conclusion of ESL Impact Season 8.

Nemesis Impact had been assembled with considerable ambition, particularly relative to the burgeoning women’s Counter-Strike scene. The core of the team was forged from the French Zerance squad, renowned for their impressive 5th-6th place finish at the ESL Impact Season 7 LAN Finals. This formidable foundation was further fortified by the addition of Anna "ramziiN" Ramsing, a potent fragger formerly with NiP Impact, and Julia "juliano" Kiran, a revered veteran and legend within the female CS landscape.

Despite this star-studded lineup, the team’s performance in Season 8 proved disappointing, as they underperformed in the regional qualifiers, securing a 9th-10th finish and consequently missing out on the Stockholm LAN event. However, the competitive outcome of Season 8 now appears secondary to the broader implications of the ESL Impact circuit’s cessation, which has triggered a wave of withdrawals and uncertainty across the women’s scene. The Nemesis Impact roster comprised: Julia "juliano" Kiran, Anna "ramziiN" Ramsing, Julie "Monkey D. Julie" Chehab, Rachel "RacheLL" Kujawa, and Coline "Kaoday" Le Floc’h. RamziiN’s social media post on December 30, 2025, articulated her search for new opportunities as an AWPer, with an openness to IGL roles, within both women’s and mixed competitive environments, and even beyond the European region.

This unceremonious exit from the women’s scene is not an isolated incident for Team Nemesis. The organization had previously parted ways with its European male Counter-Strike roster, a squad that notably secured a championship at EPIC.LAN 46. This team, featuring prominent players like former ITB members Thomas "Thomas" Utting and Joey "CRUC1AL" Steusel, represented Nemesis’ primary European interest in the title. Despite their early success, the roster struggled to maintain momentum, peaking at number 89 in the VRS and failing to make significant progress in the latter half of the year. Their departure, announced via the team’s official Twitter on January 4, 2026, effectively removes Nemesis’ European footprint in Counter-Strike. The former EU roster included: Bram "Nexius" Campana, Roman "n0te" Hamze, Dawid "tein" Śladkowski, Thomas "Thomas" Utting, and Joey "CRUC1AL" Steusel, coached by Rupert "Rickertje" Hoop.

With these dual departures, Team Nemesis is now left with only one active Counter-Strike squad: Nemesis Asia. This Southeast Asian collective comprises two Filipino, two Singaporean, and one Kazakhstani player, marking a distinct geographical shift in the organization’s competitive focus. The extensive restructuring underscores a significant strategic pivot for Team Nemesis, effectively withdrawing from both the European and women’s Counter-Strike landscapes. For the broader women’s scene, Nemesis Impact’s quiet disbandment serves as another stark reminder of the volatile ecosystem post-ESL Impact, leaving talented players scrambling for new homes in an uncertain competitive future.
