Caedrel’s Baldness Delayed! Worlds Bet Aftermath Unfolds

Look Sports Media – British Twitch sensation Marc "Caedrel" Lamont has provided an update regarding the fulfillment of his infamous Worlds 2025 wager, much to the anticipation (or perhaps dread) of his fanbase.

Last year, Caedrel boldly proclaimed he would shave his head if T1, spearheaded by Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon, managed to clinch the League of Legends World Championship. Doran, stepping into the formidable shoes of two-time World Champion Choi "Zeus" Woo-je, faced immense pressure to perform. Despite initial skepticism, T1 defied expectations, securing their third consecutive Worlds title by triumphing over KT Rolster, marking Doran’s first international victory.

As T1 advanced through the tournament, Caedrel expressed disbelief at the predicament he had created for himself. "I can’t believe I have to go bald if T1 go to Worlds," he lamented, realizing the weight of his bet against an organization already boasting five World titles.

When questioned about the rationale behind his wager, Caedrel explained, "Because I made that bet in January, T1 had just won Worlds twice and made three Worlds finals. I saw rosters like HLE with Zeus and Gen.G with Chovy, Kiin, and Canyon. And I said there’s no way T1 will win Worlds again, not with Doran. They can’t do it with Doran. I will shave my head if they win Worlds… They didn’t play a single series yet."

Caedrel wasn’t alone in his skepticism. Fellow streamer Christian "IWDominate" Rivera echoed the sentiment in November 2024. However, IWDominate has already followed through with his end of the bargain.

So, when will Caedrel face the clippers?

Caedrel revealed his plans, stating, "I’ll probably shave my hair after the League Awards." He elaborated on his reasoning, "I know you think it’s going to be funny, but there’s too many industry professionals around for me to walk around with a f***ing clean-shaven head. I can’t do it for the League Awards, I can’t host a hopefully prestigious award show with all the teams there, T1 is going to be there, all the industry people there, and I’m going to be bald. It’s going to be the most embarrassing moment of my life, so anxiety-inducing, I can’t do it."

Caedrel and Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere are set to host the League Awards on November 28th, celebrating the pinnacle of the esport. Nominations are currently open across various categories, including LEC player of the year, LTA player of the year, rookie of the year, and content piece of the year.

Caedrel has pledged to shave his head immediately after the awards ceremony, suggesting the fateful event will likely occur on or around November 29th. The longer Caedrel postpones the inevitable, the higher the chances he’ll be sporting a bald look when Los Ratones compete in the LEC Versus tournament next year, as reported by looksports.media.
