Look Sports Media – Eterna has etched their name into League of Legends history, claiming the inaugural League of Legends Game Changers Rising (LGC) championship title after a stunning 3-1 victory over tournament favorites, G2 Hel. The triumph nets Eterna a prize of €5,000 (£4.3k) and cements their place as the first champions of Riot Games’ all-women’s LoL competition.
Eterna’s journey to the top was nothing short of remarkable. Entering the tournament as an unpartnered team, they blazed through the Open Qualifier without dropping a single game. This dominant performance caught the eye of LTA Champions FlyQuest, who subsequently partnered with Eterna, providing crucial support for their LGC Rising campaign.

The tournament featured formidable opposition, including three LEC-partnered teams: G2 Hel, SK Avarosa, and Vitality Rising Bees, all of whom received direct invitations. G2 Hel, in particular, were considered the frontrunners, having previously made history earlier this year as the first women’s team to qualify for a Tier 2 LoL esports league, competing in Spain’s Circuito Tormenta with aspirations of reaching the Superliga and EMEA Masters. They also secured victory in the Equal Esports Cup, a key qualifier for LGC.

However, Eterna proved to be an unstoppable force, defeating G2 Hel twice throughout the tournament, showcasing their superior skill and strategy.
The final series was a testament to Eterna’s dominance. After convincingly winning the first two games with substantial gold leads, they found themselves on match point. Although G2 Hel managed to claw back a win in game three, fueled by Eterna’s uncharacteristic misplays, the Slovakian botlaner Nova "Sea" Jenčáková’s outstanding performance ultimately secured Eterna’s victory. A decisive ace around the 20-minute mark in game four sealed the deal, crowning Eterna as the historic LGC champions.
The future for Eterna remains uncertain, as FlyQuest’s partnership was limited to this tournament. Riot Games has yet to announce further LGC plans. Meanwhile, the loss adds to the recent woes of G2 fans, following G2 Esports’ elimination from the LoL Worlds 2025 quarter-finals. The victory also served as indirect revenge for FlyQuest, whose male LoL team had previously lost a crucial Worlds game to G2.
