Fortnite’s 5-Minute Frenzy: Blitz Royale Drops for a Limited Time!

Look Sports Media – Epic Games has unleashed a lightning-fast new Fortnite mode: Blitz Royale. This adrenaline-fueled, five-minute battle royale experience is dropping for a limited four-week run, from June 18th to July 15th. But don’t worry, this might just be a taste of things to come, as Epic hints at a potential full-fledged return in the future.

Blitz Royale throws 32 players into a high-octane scramble, either solo or in squads of four. The twist? Everyone starts with a randomized "Boon" – a power-up or unique weapon – creating an initially level playing field. Players then climb the Blitz Level ladder by eliminating opponents and surviving the ever-closing storm, unlocking increasingly powerful weapons and Boons along the way. Loot chests and supply drops add to the chaos.

The mode isn’t static; the loot pool and available weapons will receive weekly updates throughout its run. Here’s the breakdown:

• Week 1 (June 18th-23rd): Mythic versions of popular Fortnite weapons, including the Rocket Ram found within the Golden Llama, will be available.
• Week 2 (June 24th-30th): An Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover introduces Pagodas from the Four Nations to the map, and all players start with a Bending Scroll.
• Week 3 (July 1st-7th): Bending Scrolls are replaced by powerful boss weapons like Thorne’s Vampiric Blade and the Blitz Chain of Hades.
• Week 4 (July 8th-15th): Get ready for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles melee weapon extravaganza, featuring Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists and the Mythic Typhoon Blade.

Beyond the intense gameplay, players can earn exclusive cosmetics. Reach ten account levels or secure a top-ten finish in 20 Blitz Royale matches to unlock the Blitz Knight outfit. Three Victory Royales will net you the Blitz ‘Brella glider. These rewards are only available until July 15th, but there’s a chance they might appear in the Fortnite shop later.
