Irish Outlaws: Wylde Invades Nordic Valorant Showdown!

Look Sports Media – The Valorant Glitched Invitational, a new tournament partnered with Riot Games, is set to shake up the Nordic esports scene, and Irish organization Wylde is ready to cause a ruckus. This eight-team competition, taking place at the inaugural Swedish Esports and Gaming Festival in Jonkoping from June 13th to 16th, 2025, features Wylde as the sole non-Nordic representative, a bold move for the Cork-based team. Their inclusion follows a recent qualification for the Blast Europe, Middle East, and North Africa (Europe MENA) League 2025 Stage 1 via the Challenger Series.

Co-owned by the legendary Usain Bolt, Wylde’s presence adds an extra layer of intrigue to the event. They’ll be battling it out against six already confirmed teams, plus two finalists from the Svenska Onlineligan (SOL), all vying for a slice of the 100,000 SEK (£7,733) prize pool. The finals will be broadcast globally on the Valorant Northern Europe Twitch channel, promising a thrilling spectacle for viewers worldwide.

Launched in 2024 by former DreamHack executives, Glitched is aiming to redefine gaming festivals, blending competitive esports with the classic LAN party atmosphere. With an anticipated attendance of 10,000-15,000 at the Elmia Exhibition and Convention Centre, the festival promises to be a major event for the Nordic gaming community and beyond. Wylde’s participation adds a significant international flavor, setting the stage for a truly memorable tournament. Will the Irish underdogs conquer the Nordic giants? Only time will tell.
