Look Sports Media – Karmine Corp is poised to make history in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) next year, fielding not one, but two teams in the newly formed LEC Versus competition. This groundbreaking development follows Karmine Corp Blue’s dominant performance at the EMEA Masters Summer 2025, where they secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Los Heretics, claiming their record-breaking fifth EMEA/European Masters title.
The announcement of LEC Versus by Riot Games included the possibility of academy teams participating, paving the way for KCorp Blue to join their main roster in the league. While Riot has assured measures will be in place to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure competitive integrity, the specifics of these measures remain undisclosed.

The LEC Versus format will kick off with a single-round robin of best-of-one matches, guaranteeing at least one highly anticipated "KCorp derby." Joining Karmine Corp Blue as an invited EMEA Regional League (ERL) team is Marc "Caedrel" Lamont’s Los Ratones. Despite their consistent performance, including three NLC titles and two EMEA Masters wins, Los Ratones suffered a devastating 3-0 defeat against KCorp Blue, marking their first best-of-five loss. The future of Los Ratones remains uncertain after Caedrel’s announcement that they will not compete in the NLC next year, leaving open the possibility of a move to the French LFL or a hiatus from the ERL scene altogether.

The creation of LEC Versus presents Karmine Corp Blue with a unique challenge. Typically, EMEA Masters-winning rosters are quickly dismantled as LEC teams scout the region’s rising stars. KCorp Blue’s players, including toplaner Volodymyr "Maynter" Sorokin, support Kim "Piero" Jung-hun, and MVP Thomas "3XA" Foucou, have undoubtedly attracted attention. American jungler Johnny "Yukino" Dang is also expected to garner interest from both LEC and LCS teams.
According to reports from looksports.media, Riot will require LEC Versus guest teams to retain at least three members from their previous Summer roster, with potential exceptions. looksports.media suggests that KCorp Blue may qualify for these exceptions, having reportedly signed midlaner Kamil "Kamiloo" Haudegond, botlaner Costin "Hazel" Pestrițu, and support Olivier "Prime" Payet. This could be attributed to contract expirations, as most ERL players and teams operate under one-year contracts. As per the Global Contract Database, Yukino is the only KCorp Blue member with a contract extending beyond November 2025.
Meanwhile, Los Ratones has confirmed the retention of Simon "Baus" Hofverberg and Martin "Rekkles" Larsson, with the remaining members likely to stay as well, pending official confirmation.
