Medi-Vedi’s MSI Debut: A British Invasion in Vancouver!

Look Sports Media – Riot Games has unveiled the star-studded broadcast talent lineup for the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), and it’s a roster that’s sure to electrify viewers worldwide. The tournament, kicking off June 27th at Vancouver’s Pacific Coliseum, will feature a blend of established names and exciting newcomers. Among the most anticipated additions are the British duo, Aaron "Medic" Chamberlain and Andrew "Vedius" Day, better known as Medi-Vedi, marking their highly anticipated MSI debut.

The North American League Championship Series (LCS), now rebranded as LTA North, provides the backbone of the English-language broadcast team. Familiar faces like Sam "Kobe" Hartman-Kenzler, Isaac "Azael" Cummings-Bentley, Daniel "Drakos" Drakos, and Clayton "CaptainFlowers" Raines will be returning, alongside Emily Rand and Barento "Raz" Mohammed. Adding international flavor to the mix are LEC hosts Laure "Bulii" Valée and the ever-popular Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere, whose recent public discussion on mental health has resonated deeply within the esports community. Rounding out the talent are LCK Global’s Maurits "Chronicler" Jan Meeusen (in one of his final events before retirement) and interviewer Jeesun Park.

While the lineup boasts impressive talent, the lack of regional diversity is a noticeable omission. This stems partly from the absence of official English broadcasts for several major regions, relying instead on co-streaming. The discontinuation of the LPL’s English broadcast and the absence of coverage for LTA South, despite its supposed connection to LTA North, highlight this significant gap.

The MSI 2025 tournament itself promises high-octane competition. Gen.G Esports, the top-ranked team, enters as the favorite, while LTA South’s Furia will be the underdogs looking to pull off an upset. FlyQuest, with Canadian star Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek, will be a fan favorite, alongside Movistar KOI and their Canadian player, Joseph Joon "Jojopyun" Pyun, who are looking to continue their momentum after defeating G2 Esports in the LEC. G2, naturally, will be aiming for revenge and a return to international dominance.

Finally, the new HUD for MSI 2025 has generated considerable buzz, with mixed reactions from fans and commentators alike. While improvements have been made based on feedback from the First Stand tournament, criticism remains, most notably from prominent streamer Marc "Caedrel" Lamont, who voiced his concerns on Twitter. The debate over the new HUD’s effectiveness will likely continue throughout the tournament.
