Look Sports Media – Pokémon TCG Pocket is celebrating its first anniversary today, October 30th, and has already cemented its place as the most lucrative Pokémon mobile game launch in history. Surpassing even the initial frenzy surrounding Pokémon GO, this digital card game has redefined mobile gaming success.
Data analytics firm AppMagic estimates that Pokémon Pocket has generated approximately $1.3 billion in revenue within its first year, according to Pocketgamer. This figure dwarfs the roughly $1 billion earned by Pokémon GO during its own explosive debut back in 2016.

The game achieved an impressive 10 million downloads within its first three days, and has since surpassed the 150 million download mark. November 2024 proved to be its most profitable month, raking in around $229 million. While profits have decreased since then, falling below $50 million in September 2025, the game’s monetization strategy has clearly resonated with players.
