Pokémon Pocket Revamps Trading & Adds Random Battles!

Look Sports Media – DeNA is set to shake up Pokémon Pocket with a significant update arriving later this month, coinciding with the launch of the "Fantastical Parade" expansion on January 29th. This update isn’t just about new cards; it’s introducing improved trading functionalities, a fresh battle mode, and the new Stadium card type.

The most notable change is the enhancement to trading. Players will now be able to attach pre-set messages to trade requests, streamlining the process of finding desired cards. Instead of blindly searching through collections or wishlists, trainers can communicate their specific needs, such as "seeking wishlisted cards" or "seeking Japanese cards only." While the messages are pre-made, this addition promises to make trading far more efficient.

Adding to the excitement, Pokémon Pocket is introducing a new solo battle mode on January 29th: Random Battles. This mode pits players against an AI opponent wielding a completely random deck, adding an element of surprise and challenge. Players can select the difficulty level, with beginner-level battles available. Completing these battles for the first time will reward players with valuable items like Pack Hourglasses.

Beyond these core features, several events are planned to coincide with the update. "Elite Deck Gift Missions" will reward players with a powerful fire-type deck featuring Mega Blaziken ex and Entei ex for completing specific challenges. The "Handy Card Collection Missions" will provide access to useful Trainer cards like Copycat, Giant Cape, and Sabrina, available until April 26th.

A special promo solo battle event will run from February 11th to February 21st, offering players the chance to earn a unique Mega Medicham ex card alongside B series promo packs vol. 4. Following that, a "Wonder Pick Event" from February 14th to February 24th will feature Cinderace and Alolan Vulpix promo cards, hinting at Cinderace’s debut in the Fantastical Parade expansion, according to looksports.media. These events provide ample opportunities for both new and veteran players to bolster their collections and strategies.
