Speed in Fortnite? Streamer Drops Major Hint!

Look Sports Media – Darren "IShowSpeed" Watkins Jr., the global streaming sensation, may soon be immortalized in Fortnite with his very own skin, sparking a frenzy of speculation within the gaming community.

The high-energy streamer, who initially rose to prominence five years ago through his Fortnite streams, recently sent fans into overdrive with a cryptic tease during a live broadcast. Responding to a donation that asked about his favorite soccer team, Speed enthusiastically declared "Cristian Ronaldo, sewey!" – a clip that quickly went viral. This, coupled with his recent hosting of the $100,000 Droptics Fortnite tournament, has further fueled rumors of a potential collaboration with Epic Games.

While Cristiano Ronaldo already boasts an in-game skin, IShowSpeed’s recent actions suggest he might be next in line. "Speaking of Fortnite…I don’t want to say anything, but let me just do this," Speed stated during a stream, punctuated by a series of knowing winks directed at the camera. This ambiguous statement has ignited intense speculation about the nature of his involvement with the game.

The timing of this tease coincides with Fortnite’s Fortnightmares 2025 event, which introduced a host of new character skins, including Doja Cat, Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, and characters from Scooby Doo. While it remains unclear whether IShowSpeed’s hint refers to an in-game cosmetic item, such as a skin or dance emote, the possibility has sent ripples of excitement throughout his fanbase.

It’s important to note that Fortnite content often leaks well in advance of its official release. Therefore, if a skin or emote is indeed in the works, it may be some time before it appears in the game. Alternatively, Speed’s tease could be alluding to a large-scale streaming event, reminiscent of his previous endeavors, such as the 106-hour Minecraft marathon with Kai Cenat.

IShowSpeed’s popularity is undeniable. He commands a massive online presence, boasting 2.45 million followers on Twitch, 45.1 million subscribers on YouTube, 41.3 million followers on TikTok, and 41.8 million followers on Instagram, positioning him as a close rival to Kai Cenat in the realm of online content creation.

Fortnite has a history of collaborating with prominent content creators, adding them to the "Icon Series," which includes notable celebrities, artists, and influencers. Kai Cenat was the most recent addition, with his in-game skin priced at 1800 V-Bucks. The main characters from the Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters were also added as Fortnite skins.

The Icon Series is one of 31 extra rarities in Fortnite. As part of Zoey, Mira, and Rumi’s release, Fortnite also received a limited-time game mode called Demon Rush. This was a variation on the popular Horde Rush mode, which regularly appears in the game during Halloween and Fortnightmare events.

Whether IShowSpeed’s tease will manifest into an in-game skin, a special event, or something else entirely remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: the gaming community is eagerly awaiting further developments.
