UKEL Grand Finals: Staffordshire University Crowned King of Esports!

Look Sports Media – The UK Esports League (UKEL) 4 Nations Spring 2025 Division 1 Grand Final will be held at Staffordshire University’s Stoke-on-Trent campus on Saturday, June 21st. The announcement, made via X last week, confirms the event will take place in the university’s cutting-edge £2.7m esports facility, a broadcast studio inaugurated just a year ago. This marks a significant milestone for the UKEL, building on the momentum of the Spring Split, which kicked off in April.

Currently, the Spring Split is heating up, with Int Quick—a team boasting prominent UK League of Legends streamers like Whatley and Kerberos—leading the pack alongside Venomcrest, Brod & Friends, and The Bandits. While Venomcrest secured victory at the Spring finals held earlier this year at Manchester’s Pixel Bar, all eyes are now on the upcoming Grand Final at Staffordshire University.

The choice of venue is no coincidence. Staffordshire University was recognized last year by TIGA as the UK’s top university for gaming. Their pioneering esports course, launched in 2021, has evolved significantly since its inception, solidifying their position at the forefront of UK esports education. The university’s commitment to esports is evident in their state-of-the-art facilities, providing the perfect backdrop for the UKEL’s climactic event. This promises to be a spectacular showdown, with the top teams vying for the coveted championship title. The June 21st date is set to be a pivotal moment in the UK esports calendar, showcasing the talent and passion driving the UK’s burgeoning competitive gaming scene.
