Valorant’s OP Agents Revealed: Nerfs Incoming?

Look Sports Media – Stage 2 of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) has crowned its champions, with Team Liquid emerging victorious in EMEA. But the dust hasn’t settled yet, as Riot Games has unveiled the shockingly high pick rates of certain agents, hinting at potential nerfs. The data, compiled across all four regions, paints a clear picture: some agents are dominating the meta.

Omen, the shadowy controller, reigns supreme, boasting a terrifyingly high pick rate exceeding 74% across all regions—a staggering 86% in VCT CN alone. His Paranoia ability has proven too effective for professional players to ignore. While some fans are calling for buffs to other controllers, the Omen-mains are bracing for the nerf hammer.

Viper and Sova followed closely behind, consistently appearing in the top three across all regions. Viper’s vision-blocking utility secured her a 59% pick rate in VCT Americas and 56% in VCT Pacific. In VCT CN and EMEA, she still maintained a strong presence at 50% and 46% respectively. However, Sova, despite previous nerfs, remained a popular choice, with pick rates of 52% and 54% in China and EMEA, and 51% in both Americas and Pacific.

The upcoming Valorant Champions 2025 in Paris (September 12th – October 5th), boasting a $2.25 million prize pool, will be the ultimate test of these dominant agents. With Pick’Ems returning, fans are already strategizing. Paper Rex, the Valorant Masters Toronto champions, are currently favored by betting sites. This tournament will conclude the season, with the same format returning in 2026 in Shanghai. Riot has hinted at a new era for Valorant esports in 2027, but details remain shrouded in mystery.
